MANUAL Order Selector - Warehouse / Food Distribution


Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30a-4pm (must be flexible)


Job Overview
We are hiring an Order Picker to support a busy warehouse and food distribution operation. This role focuses on manual order picking and staging products for distribution. While some powered equipment may be used when needed, this is not a full-time forklift position. The environment is collaborative and community-focused, with daily interaction alongside volunteers and warehouse team members.


Key Responsibilities
Manually pick and stage orders based on pick lists and warehouse routing


Organize and prepare products for outbound distribution


Ensure accurate order fulfillment and proper product handling


Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace


Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed


Operate warehouse equipment only when required, including:


Reach truck


Stand-up forklift


Cherry picker (used very rarely, only if needed)


Work alongside volunteers and team members to keep operations running smoothly


Required Experience & Qualifications
1-3 years of warehouse experience, preferably in order picking or distribution


Comfortable with manual picking and being on your feet throughout the shift


Experience using an electric hand pallet jack preferred


Forklift experience or certification is a plus but not required for daily work


Ability to follow pick lists and basic warehouse processes


Strong attention to detail and dependability


What to Expect
Primarily manual order picking role


Occasional equipment use only when operationally necessary
