Sawgrass offers access to both coastal recreation and major South Florida destinations. Sawgrass is near Sawgrass Mills, one of the largest outlet and value retail destinations in the United States, and it is about 20 miles from Fort Lauderdale Beach for waterfront time off. The area provides access to Everglades Holiday Park, known for airboat tours and wildlife viewing, and it is within about 15 miles of downtown Fort Lauderdale for dining and arts venues. Travelers in Sawgrass can also reach Miami in about 35 to 45 miles depending on route, while nearby interstates including I-75 and I-595 support regional travel across Broward County.
