You’re not looking for theoretical legal work; you want to help the business move forward safely, efficiently, and confidently.What You’ll Do:Draft, review, and negotiate operator agreements, agent agreements, and other commercial contractsServe as a legal partner to internal operations teams and external business operators, providing practical guidance on disputes, risk, and compliance issuesSupport the execution of corporate development initiatives, including acquisitions and integrationsAssist with legal due diligence for acquisitions, including review of contracts, corporate records, and compliance historyPrepare transaction-related documents including NDAs, LOIs, closing certificates, and ancillary deal materialsSupport post-closing integration of acquired entities into PLACE’s corporate structureDevelop and improve internal legal templates, playbooks, and contract approval workflowsAssist in adopting and implementing AI tools and legal tech systems to improve legal operationsCollaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters and strategic initiativesSupport special projects as the legal team evolves and scales with the businessSkills You Have:Strong drafting, writing, and contract interpretation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with business operators and executivesCollaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong professional judgmentAbility to stay organized and prioritize effectively in a high-growth environmentSolutions-oriented approach with a focus on enabling business executionQualifications:JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership0–5 years of legal experience; in-house, corporate, or M&A experience preferredFamiliarity or comfort with AI tools, contract lifecycle management systems, or legal operations platformsExperience in real estate, franchising, mortgage, title, or acquisitions is a plusSalary Range: $100,000-$125,000/year, depending on experienceWhy PLACE:We believe people do their best work when they are trusted, supported, and close to the impact they’re making.
